0.6 Career Daydream Lesson

Lesson Overview

In this lesson, students will daydream about what a typical work day is going to be like in 30 years. The instructor will read a pre-written script to help students meditate and guide them to share their answers.

Total Lesson Time: 45 min

Learning Objectives:  Students will be able to . . .

  • Come up with a dream job that they want to do in the future that matches their values, strengths and interests. 
  • Imagine how AI is going to play a role in that job and affect their daily routine.

Vocabulary:  We recommend introducing students to the following terms in advance of this lesson:  value, strengths, interest

Pacing:

  1. Opening (10 min)
  2. Daydreaming a typical workday in 30 years (15 min)
  3. Discussing students' daydreams (15 min)
  4. Wrap-up (5 min)
