A whole-class activity where students share their impressions of slides and whether or not they are "art".
Total Activity Time: 10 minutes
Materials:
- Art or Not Digital Worksheet OR Art of Not Slides
Prep: (none)
Options for Differentiation
- Create more time by trimming the number of Art or Not activity slides. Include only Slides 1-8 (7 total), or Slides 5-8 (4 total).
- Use the given guided questions in the Teaching Script to structure student thinking for each slide. If you decide to have students work in partners, tell them that the questions they should answer together are in the slide deck notes.
- Add examples of art (or not) in your community or city that are familiar to the students
