How do GANS Work (modified with cats and dogs)

I changed the rooster fighting to be more appropriate (with cats and dogs). A lot of students don’t understand rooster fighting, and I believe it is illegal in the US. Many students know that dogs and can’t don’t get along. They can still grasp what a generator and a discriminator do. I also changed the artist to Da Vinci

Is it for Winter? (modified)

Is it for winter was modified by increasing the number of discussion questions about different climates around the US. I included how some systems could be biased depending on where the AI system was trained.

Redesign Instagram Lesson Plan - Alternative

What is AI? Pre-Assessment Sketch & Tell

Students will engage in a Pre-Assessment Activity to "Sketch" an AI technology that could impact/help them in their daily lives and "Tell" about it. The students use a "Sketch & Tell" template to capture pre-knowledge and will have a post-assessment at the end of the lesson. Three templates are provided in the resource: General Template to use in the AI curriculum, an ELA Story Telling Template to capture ELA Intro, Conflict, Resoution, and Generated AI Tool to Sketch with a Prompt.

This Kahoot series can be used in situations where students need to independently complete the introductory "What is AI?" (0.1) lesson, such as before a workshop that focuses on a specific AI tool. It walks them through the slides to learn about AI, and then practice distinguishing technologies that are AI from ones that are not AI, including explanations for each. Students can complete the "advanced" slides after they do the "introduction" ones, to get more practice.

Decision Trees-Breakfast World

Pasta is so delicious but not all students are familiar with the different types of pasta. Students will have the opportunity to sort popular breakfast items that they or their peers eat at school in order to determine their favorite breakfast food. As an extension, students will sort desserts and apply their mathematical knowledge of prime numbers and the real number system.

Alternative to Spread of Misinformation (School Schedule)

Currently, school uniforms do not apply to all schools. This alternative lesson focuses on the school schedule while using candies and chocolates.

This Career Daydream lesson was modified to include a Sketch and Tell activity.

Neural Networks - Unplugged

Use post-it notes or can use the document to print 2 sided (hopefully it lines up correctly) to use to write words on and feed forward to work through the Neural Network. Makes working with a large group of students easier to handle because everyone is included. I also printed the network handout for the students to track how the words flowed through and kept record of it on the whiteboard.

Neural Networks in Medical Diagnosis?

This is an extension to the Neural Networks Game Activity that specifically focuses on the possibility of using virtual Neural Networks to diagnose medical issues.

ChatGPT Debate

Students will read two principals letters that share that they are either banning ChatGPT or not banning it from their schools. Students develop their own opinions and share their reasoning. The teacher then reveals that both principal letters were generated using ChatGPT and asks the students if they want to change their opinion.
